Housing Access Worker


If you are passionate about making a difference by providing assistance and support to people in the community that are homeless or at risk of homelessness, we want to hear from you!


• Full time opportunity


MASP is seeking a motivated person to deliver Housing Access Services to people experiencing or at risk of homelessness. The successful candidate will advocate on the behalf of clients and use a case management approach when intervening to prevent homelessness, assist people who are already homeless to break the cycle of homelessness and to provide ongoing support.

Practice Leader - Therapeutic and Trauma Informed Services


Do you have what it takes to ensure MASP becomes a leader in our field, when it comes to delivering trauma informed and therapeutic services to our clients?


We are seeking applications from suitably skilled and qualified candidates who are excited about putting their stamp on a brand new position and believe they have what it takes to:


• consult, coach, mentor and lead people;
• manage change and implement therapeutic and trauma informed approaches across all MASP services.


The Practice Leader reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer.


Key aspects of the role include


• leading systems change through policy development, strategies and processes which build the capacity of MASP and its staff to operate within a trauma-informed framework;
• assisting to improve outcomes for clients with complex behaviours;
• contributing to the development of evidence-based trauma informed and therapeutic systems of service delivery;
• contributing to robust clinical governance systems by regularly presenting a thematic analysis of client behaviours and trends and developing appropriate interventions and responses;
• assisting the organisation to ensure we are best supporting the emotional, physical and psychological needs of the children and young people we work with;
• providing support and critical incident debriefing for staff and carers exposed to direct or vicarious trauma.


Essential


1. Strong understanding of therapeutic and trauma informed practice and its relationship to our services.
2. A Degree in Behavioural or Social Sciences.
3. Previous experience in a leadership role where you influenced positive client outcomes.
4. Demonstrated experience in developing new service models to meet current and emerging trends.
5. Courage and interpersonal skills to initiate, develop, and manage change.
6. Personal drive and initiative to succeed and get the job done.
7. Collaboration skills with clients, work colleagues, other organisations and government departments.
8. Significant change management experience and strong interpersonal skills allowing strong engagement with carers, staff at all levels and stakeholders.
