MASP welcomes new CEO

22 March 2022info@creativekrew.com.auNews and Events

After a national recruitment process, Mallee Accommodation and Support Program (MASP) has welcomed experienced leader Vincent Wilson to the positon of Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

Mr Wilson brings more than 15 years’ senior leadership experience in the public and private sectors with a strong track record of delivering organisational transformation and growth, most recently serving as founding CEO of student housing organisation Deakin Residential Services, a not-for-profit subsidiary of Deakin University.

Relocating to Mildura from Torquay, Mr Wilson commenced in the role in November and said he is looking forward to strengthening MASP’s position as a leading community service provider.

“MASP is a wonderful community-based organisation with a rich history of providing vital support to disadvantaged and vulnerable people,” he said.

“While the organisation was born out of supporting people who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness nearly 30 years ago, it is all that and so much more today.

“I’ve spent a lot of time with staff over the past few weeks to gain deeper insight into our diverse services and programs and the positive outcomes we continue to deliver for children, youth, families, people with a disability and those who are experiencing homelessness.

“With the passion and dedication of our workforce, together with strong partnerships and the continued support from our volunteers and stakeholders, I believe there is an opportunity for us to play an even greater role in supporting Mallee communities into the future.

“We face many challenges in the community services sector – and the not-for-profit sector more broadly – and the next few months will be important in setting the path for the future growth and financial sustainability of our organisation.

“I look forward to working with our Board, staff, clients, volunteers and community as we begin the next chapter at MASP.”
