MASP welcomes volunteers who can devote time and energy to supporting our activities with clients.
The program supports young people through mentoring and exposes them to positive life experiences and challenges. It increases their opportunities to engage with family, education, and employment. Most importantly, it brings together community members, local businesses, and like-minded agencies to work together to benefit young people in the local area. The relationship between the mentor and the mentee aims to increase the capacity of the young person to make positive connections with the community and to help improve their self-confidence and physical and emotional well-being.
If you would like more information on the MASP Youth Mentoring Program as a Mentor, Mentee or a Sponsor, please contact the Program Coordinator Mark Jamieson at mjamieson@masp.org.au or phone 0400 675 933, or Youth Services Coordinator Anita McDonald (Swan Hill) at amcdonald@masp.org.au or phone 0466 155 589.
MASP is seeking volunteer L2P Driver Mentors to be part of our TAC L2P Program.
The TAC L2P Program doesn’t just benefit learner drivers. The program gives our volunteer mentors an opportunity to connect with their community and directly help a young person.
We have a full training program for mentors to ensure you’re well prepared to mentor a learner driver and understand your role as a supervising driver. Learners participating in the program also have access to free driving lessons with a professional instructor to build their skills before getting on the road with a volunteer mentor.
Mentors can have a vital role in empowering and enhancing a young person’s confidence, by teaching them to drive safely and reduce crashes, injuries, and fatalities among young drivers.
Sharing your knowledge can be a rewarding experience that offers a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction.
If you meet the volunteer mentor criteria, please apply online through your myVicRoads account
