Adding a Colour To This Year’s Foster Care Week

As national Foster Care Week 2023 approaches, the MASP Foster Care team is gearing up for engaging events to raise awareness about foster care and celebrate the invaluable contribution of foster carers in the community. This year’s theme for Foster Care Week is ‘heart of gold’ – Celebrating the value and contribution of carers in the lives of the children and young people and, what being a carer means to those who provide it.

On September 16th, 2023, MASP will set up an informative stall at the Sunraysia Farmers Market. This provides a unique opportunity for community members to engage and learn more about foster care, fostering understanding and compassion. Expressing gratitude to foster carers, a special event is being organised to thank them for their dedication and commitment to nurturing the future of Mallee.

Foster Care Week is an annual event that celebrates and raises awareness about foster care in the care services sector andthe wider community. The events and celebrations held during foster care week aim to highlight and appreciate our valuable pool of foster carers and their contribution to the lives of vulnerable children and young people in our community.
